Into Employment

Into Employment is our training programme for students who can work towards level 1 and 2 qualifications. The programme can run for three years. Each year opportunities for work experience increase.

The Park College will offer a three year vocational skills programme

Year One

Students complete work experience projects within the college. These can include working in The Park College Café and Events Management. Other college based enterprises are offered and these vary depending on the interests of the students.

Year Two

Students spend less time based at The Park College and complete a range of work experience placements with local businesses. Work coaches from the college support the students and employers throughout these placements.

Year Three

The final year of the programme allows students to complete extended work experience placements that match their career aspirations. Students work more independently during their placements.

Throughout the course students study for accredited Level 1 and 2 qualifications. These include:

Functional Skills English, maths and ICT
Hospitality and Catering

Other accredited courses relating directly to each student’s interests can be taught.

All students take part in tutorials that focus on personal development including independence. Careers guidance is also provided.
