Catriona has worked in special needs education since arriving in England from Ireland over 20 years ago. She has worked at Spa Bermondsey since 2008. She had various roles such as Class teacher covering all key stages, Complex needs coordinator, Social communication lead and Acting Assistant Head in Key Stage 5. She went to The Park College in 2018 to help set up the college. Prior to this she worked for the National Autistic Society- Sybil Elgar School as an Art and Tutor teacher. She has a PGCE in Secondary Education, Leading from The Middle Programme, City & Guilds Level 4 certificate in Further Education Teaching, Bachelor of Education degree in Fine Art and certificate in Art Therapy. Catriona loves working at The Park College.

Simon Eccles

Simon Eccles

Simon has extensive experience in the field of special needs education and autism. He was Headteacher of Spa Bermondsey from 2006 to 2022; prior to this he was Headteacher of Tree House School and Deputy Head of the Bridge School in Islington. Simon has a Diploma in Teaching, the National Professional Qualification for Headship, and a Masters in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.

Ian Morris

Ian worked in SEN education in London for over 30 years until retiring from the post of Senior Advisor for SEN for the London Borough of Southwark in August 2021. He held advisory posts in three London Local Authorities working with mainstream and special schools and Alternative Providers for children and young people of all ages. He has been an OFSTED inspector, a consultant/advisor for Cambridge Education Associates and has taught in primary, secondary further education and adult settings in Salford and in London.

Steph Lea

Steph has worked in special needs education for more than 25 years. She is the Executive Headteacher of Spa Education Trust. She was previously the Headteacher at Spa Camberwell and the Deputy Head at Spa Bermondsey. Prior to joining Spa she was the Deputy Head at the Bethlem and Maudsley Hospital School. She has worked as a link advisor for the General Teaching Council, as an Inclusion Manager in a Lambeth community primary school and as a learning support leader at The United Nations International School. Steph has Bachelor of Education degree in Primary Teaching, the National Professional Qualification for Headship and a master’s degree in the Psychology and Education of Children with Special Needs. Steph has extensive leadership experience and successful experience of setting up new provisions for children and young people with a range of needs including autism.
